A rotating Wi-Fi camera that takes the place of a bulb: it screws into a standard E27 socket and draws its power from there, so there is no cable to run and no wall to drill. From the phone app you turn it, tilt it and look back through what it recorded.
What you get: fits a standard E27 bulb socket and takes its power from it, turns 360° sideways and 90° up and down, steered from the app, infrared night vision for dark rooms, stairs and porches, motion alerts on the phone for movement within about 6 m, picks up sound within about 5 m and records to a microSD card of up to 32 GB.

I put it in the garage, in the socket where the old bulb was. From the bedroom I turn it with the phone and look at the car and the side door. At night the picture is black and white but clear, and the phone tells me when something moves. My cat set it off three times the first evening.

Works well so far, picture is good by day and by night and turning it from the app is easy. First time I order from this shop so I give 4 for now, if it still works like this in spring I come back and give the fifth.

bought it for my mum, she lives alone. she just put it where the old bulb was and thats it, no cables no drilling. when she doesnt answer the phone i can look and see shes ok, it gives me peace

I have two now, one in the hallway and one over the front door. Because it turns, it can watch the stairs or the gate, so one camera does the work of two. I look at them from work in the lunch break.
